Siding

There are three main considerations when selecting the type of siding appropriate to your home. Aesthetics, insulating abilities, and durability. Of course, the first consideration you might have is “How will it look?”.

This is what is meant by curb appeal. Some types of siding are more versatile than others and might match a variety of levels of architectural formality, while others are more limited in their scope of application. A second factor to take into account is the energy efficiency of the particular siding, that is, how well will it work to insulate your home. Sidings have R-ratings that will show just how good they are in keeping cool air in during summer months, and warm air in during winter months. Our staff will discuss these with you before we install any siding. A third consideration is durability. How will a particular siding withstand weather cycles, winds, dry air, and so forth?

These are questions that your Green Door consultant will help you with when selecting an appropriate siding for your home. You can click on the tabs below to learn a little bit more about some of the types of siding that we offer.
